This liturgical vestment set is a variation of the beautiful set designed by Slabbinck for the Centennial Celebration of the Apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima. The curved strokes flow around one side of the chasuble, representing believers gathered around the figure of Our Lady. They are separate, yet joined in prayer. Brilliant white symbolizes the light that shone during the apparitions. Gold and silver are used in remembrance of the decorations on the robes of Our Lady. This vestment is an excellent choice for celebration of the Mass during the liturgical seasons of Christmas and Easter, and for feasts, solemnities, Baptisms and burials.
The lined chasuble is made from a fifty-five percent silk, forty-five percent man-made fiber fabric called Sentia. The strokes are machine-embroidered in silver, gold and old-gold threads. It has a Gothic style neck and measures fifty-three inches long and fifty-nine inches wide. An underlay stole is included.
