We recommend this nickel-plated pyx for carrying unconsecrated host as it is not gold-plated. The pyx has a silver-plated oxidized image of The Lamb of Peace on top of the hinged lid. Additionally, a metal loop is at the top of the pyx for a cord should the priest, deacon or extraordinary minister of Holy Communion want to add a cord. The pyx measures two inches in diameter and 5/8 inches deep, able to accommodate up to six 1-3/8 inch hosts. This pyx is made in Italy.
