This pyx is made of brass and the Lamb of Peace is finished in nickel plate. The rest of the pyx, in keeping with the highest standards of the Catholic Church, is plated with 24-karat gold so that the Blessed Sacrament is encased by precious materials. Whether used to take Holy Communion to the sick or for last rites, this pyx will be long-lasting and durable. The lid is hinged and has a metal clasp for closure, with no moving parts to break. A metal loop is attached for use of a neck cord. This pyx, made in Italy, measures two inches by 5/8 inches and will hold up to six 1-3/8 inch hosts.
