This pyx and burse set is beautifully designed for use by a priest, deacon or extraordinary minister of Holy Communion. The brass pyx is finished with a 24-karat gold plate in keeping with the reverent standards of the Catholic Church, ensuring that the Blessed Sacrament touches natural material. The hinged lid is engraved with IHS, representing the first three Greek letters of Jesus, and further embellished with a cross above and symbol of the Holy Trinity below. The pyx measures two inches in diameter and is one half-inch deep, holding up to eight hosts. The black burse, made of genuine leather, has a snap closure and neck cord. It is lined with a white brocade and measures three inches square with a one inch depth. This pyx and burse set is made in Italy.
