The purpose of this dove tabernacle is to enshrine the pyx which will contain the Blessed Sacrament. The dove, reminiscent of Early Christian designs, features detailed engraving throughout its eight-inch body. A hinged wing opens to reveal a small pedestal on which to rest a pyx. A two-inch pyx is provided. The dove rests upon a small pedestal which is outfitted with a plate for mounting on a wall. The total projection is ten inches. This tabernacle is finished inside and out in twenty-four karat gold plate.
