The 24 Hours for the Lord initiative, which began in 2014, was organized by the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization. Its purpose is to place the Sacrament of Reconciliation once again at the center of the pastoral activity of the Church. Its theme is "God rich in mercy".
This resource, offered for use in preparation for the 24 Hours for the Lord Initiative, consists of four parts. Part I provides a brief reflection for meditation to aid the individual pentitent in approaching Confession with an encouraged heart. Part II consists of testimony from three individuals who converted. The third part offers food for thought on the purpose of the initiative.
