This Byzantine Crucifix beautifully depicts Christ as Lion, Man, Ox and Eagle on its four ends, representing the four gospels. The cross has a finely beaded edge and patterned medallion behind the Corpus. The Corpus is rendered in intricate detail as well. Note the wounds Christ bears, the detailing of His hands and face, the folds of His garment.
