Job description

Duties & Responsibilities
Basic Scope
  • Establish and lead the performance objectives for manufacturing activities.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of manufacturing activities.
  • Develop manufacturing workmanship, and quality standards
  • Creates goals to reduce costs and increase efficiencies in safety and manufacturing, then drives performance to achieve those goals utilizing manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement tools.
  • Develops departmental budget and tracks to ensure goals are met.
  • Works with Finance to understand manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Responsible for attainment of agreed upon production schedules.
  • Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.
Key Job Functions:
  • Develop annual operating plan including facility improvements, manning work plans, budgetary targets, safety plans, employee engagement.
  • Ensure expectations are met or exceeded in safety, delivery, quality, and customer service.
  • Establish and improve operating metrics across all disciplines to gauge performance.
  • Effectively communicate safety, production, quality and all other company goals to ensure all members of the team are aware and understand them.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy is a plus
Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Education Required:
  • Proven record of accomplishments in budget attainment, safety improvements, customer satisfaction, employee development, and process improvement.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills with strong verbal/written communications abilities.
  • Strong background in root cause analysis, error proofing, corrective actions and process improvement.
  • Proven experience in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Strong background in establishing metrics and effectively communicating targets. Establish plans and contingencies to meet the established metric-based targets.
  • Previous leadership experience in assembly, manufacturing, fabrication and/or weld shop.

Job Summary
Responsible for performing precision smoothing, polishing and/or grinding of fabricated metal parts.
 
Job Duties
· Deburr, grind and polish sheet metal and metal castings.
· Use hand and power wheels/belts to grind and polish brass, bronze, aluminum, gold and silver.
· Read and interpret job travelers, blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific finish requirements.
· Identify and correct defects to produce a smooth surface to a specified finish.
· Report defects to supervisor.
· Proper setup and operation of standard manufacturing equipment.
· Provide a high level of attention to detail and focus on the task.
· Comply with FCZ standards and procedures for quality.
· Complete assigned work within the given timeframe and according to specifications.
 
Position Requirements
· Familiarity with shop equipment i.e. various power tools, etc.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with departments within the organization.
· Possess problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Maintain a healthy and safe work environment, report any health or safety hazards, and follow the Company health and safety rules

F.C. Ziegler Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations within our warehouse facility. This role is perfect for an experienced logistics professional who excels in team leadership, inventory management, and interdepartmental coordination.
As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring a high-performing, safe, and efficient warehouse environment. You’ll support the Warehouse Leader and serve as a point of contact for both internal departments and external partners, including carriers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations and delegate tasks to maximize team productivity.
  • Maintain proficiency in all warehouse roles to support training, troubleshooting, and fill-in coverage.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse and OneServ staff, fostering a collaborative and accountable team culture.
  • Coordinate weekly inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation.
