Celebrate the Immaculate Heart of Mary

1st Jun 2025

Honoring the Immaculate Heart of Mary

On Saturday, June 28th, we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary—a beautiful and meaningful devotion rooted in Scripture (Luke 2:19, 2:35, and 2:51) and embraced deeply by the Catholic Church.

The feast was officially established in 1942 by Pope Pius XII, during the turmoil of World War II, as an appeal for Mary’s powerful intercession: for peace among nations, the freedom of the Church, the conversion of sinners, and the growth of virtue and purity in the world.

Ways to Honor the Immaculate Heart

  1. Prayer and Reflection
Recite the Rosary daily, especially focusing on the Joyful Mysteries.
Spend time in Eucharistic Adoration, reflecting on Mary’s role in salvation history.

  2. First Saturday Devotion
Follow the request of Our Lady of Fatima by participating in the First Saturday Devotion: confession, Holy Communion, recitation of the Rosary, and 15 minutes of meditation on its mysteries.

  3. Acts of Consecration
Consecrate yourself and your family to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, entrusting your lives to her care, guidance, and motherly protection.
