This richly ornamented Baroque monstrance is a masterful expression of Eucharistic devotion, combining symbolic theology with dramatic artistic detail. The glory features a traditional sunburst topped with a cross and is surrounded by a wide architectural layer inspired by Baroque forms. Four sculpted angels are positioned within the glory, drawing the eye inward toward the Blessed Sacrament. At the top of the glory appears an image of God the Father, while the Holy Spirit is depicted below—each encircled by a smaller sunburst, forming a powerful Trinitarian visual theology.
The circular opening for the luna is framed with grapevine and wheat motifs, clear Eucharistic symbols of wine and bread. The node, stem, and oval base are richly decorated with sculpted ornamentation, culminating in a detailed relief on the base depicting the battle between the Archangel Michael and the devil—a reminder of Christ’s victory over evil.
