This ciborium is not only beautiful, but ingenious in its design. Created to complement the chalice designed by Spain's Artistic Silver in response to a commission from the Vatican, this ciborium has around its bowl Christ and The Twelve Apostles, each featured within a columned cove. The Four Evangelists are imbedded within chapels worked into the design of the node and a "Flower of Passion" motif runs around the base.
This open ciborium, available to you from the F.C Ziegler Company, is made of sterling silver with the inner lining of the bowl plated in twenty-four karat gold. The ciborium measures 5-1/2 inches high. The seven-inch diameter bowl will accommodate 370 host.
