The Slabbinck Company of Belgium was honored when asked to co-design a vestment for Pope Benedict XVI in 2007, to celebrate Masses on his papal visit to Brazil. The resulting design is now available to you through the F.C. Ziegler Company. Made from Cantate fabric, the monastic style chasuble is ninety-nine percent wool shot with one percent Lurex. The orphrey and trim are embroidered in silver and gold using a slightly nubby thread that provides a subtle texture.
The chasuble measures fifty-three inches long and sixty-three inches wide. The roll collar measures 25-1/2 inches with a height of 3-1/2 inches. This chasuble is available in four colors for the liturgical seasons. You may also order the coordinating stole, miter and cope in white.
