Institutional Chapel Edition - Roman Missal 3rd Edition in Hardcover

I serve as a priest in a cluster of parishes. Two of our missions have this chapel edition of the Roman Missal, Third Typical Edition as published by Liturgical Press. I've come to dislike the Liturgical Press chapel edition greatly. I find the artwork to be, well, ugly. But beyond that, I've had problems with the book staying open. The parishes have had these books for a few years now, so they should be broken in. Every so often, though, I have to do battle against them. I like to chant the Mass. The music is difficult to read. I understand that this is a smaller book than Liturgical Press' regular altar edition, but the music in my chapel edition published by LTP is much easier to read. Liturgical Press has put out many distinguished publications in their years of existence. I would avoid this one, though.
