Elements from the Holy Lands fill the cases built into the budded ends of this Crucifix. One case holds frankincense form the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Another holds earth from The Garden Tomb in Jerusalem. Leaves from an olive tree and stones from Jerusalem fill the other two cases. The cross itself is carved from olive wood. Craftsmen use ancient techniques developed by monks during the fourth century, A.D., to form the cross. This budded cross Crucifix with Holy Land elements measures nine inches by 5 inches and is made in Bethlehem.
